Uniface bracteate struck in thin silver. A schematically rendered crowned episcopal or regal face occupies the central field, depicted frontally in a highly stylised medieval manner. A six-pointed star appears to the left of the crown and a second six-pointed star to the right, flanking the effigy symmetrically. The entire design is enclosed within a border of raised pellets forming a beaded inner ring, itself framed by the irregular flan edge. |
