Obverse description Facing bust of the abbot in high relief, rendered in the bracteate tradition, holding a crozier in one hand and a lily-staff in the other as emblems of ecclesiastical authority. The figure is positioned beneath a triple arcade or trefoil arch, above which rises a schematic architectural structure suggestive of the abbey facade or a city gate. The overall composition is typical of mid-13th-century German ecclesiastical bracteate coinage, with bold, stylised relief work characteristic of the Hersfeld mint.

Reverse description Blank incuse field, as is standard for bracteate coinage, where the single thin flan bears the design struck on one side only, leaving the reverse as a mirror-image incuse impression of the obverse without any intentional design or legend.
