| 表面の説明 | Frontal bust of Bishop Henry II of Klingenberg in high relief, as befitting bracteate technique, wearing a mitre, mozzetta, and pallium. The bishop's vestments are rendered with stylized decorative detail characteristic of late 13th-century episcopal coinage of the Upper Rhine region. A crescent appears to the left of the bust in the field, and a six-pointed star to the right, serving as secondary decorative or identifying devices. The entire design is struck on a single thin flan, producing a mirror-image incuse impression on the reverse. |
