| Описание аверса | Enthroned frontal figure of Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa, crowned and wearing imperial robes, depicted in a hieratic Romanesque style within a beaded inner circle. The emperor is shown seated facing forward, holding a globus cruciger or orb in his left hand and a sceptre or flowering branch in his right hand. The face is rendered with bold, stylised features characteristic of 12th-century German bracteate coinage. The entire design is struck in high relief on a thin silver flan, the image being visible as an incuse impression on the reverse, as is typical of bracteate technique. The field surrounding the figure is plain within the beaded border. |
