The archbishop wears the infula bicornis (two-horned miter) and holds a processional cross-staff in his right hand turned outward, while his left hand grasps a patriarchal or pastoral cross. The composition is characteristic of early 13th-century North German bracteate coinage, with bold, slightly stylized relief typical of the Magdeburg episcopal series. |
