| 表面の説明 | Enthroned frontal figure of the duke, depicted in regal attire with a sceptre held upright in the right hand and an orb or similar regalia in the left; the ruler is rendered in a schematic, Romanesque style characteristic of 13th-century Polish bracteates. Flanking elements, possibly architectural or heraldic motifs, appear at either side of the central figure. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle bordered by a continuous outer pearl border. Small annulets and decorative symbols are distributed within the field around the effigy. |

Boleslaus V earned his epithet through a vow of celibacy made jointly with his wife Kinga of Hungary — a political and personal arrangement that left him without legitimate heirs and contributed to renewed fragmentation of Polish ducal territories after his death in 1279. His long reign over Kraków coincided with the devastating Mongol raids of 1241 and 1259, which disrupted mint activity across Silesia and Lesser Poland severely enough that dating individual bracteate issues within his reign remains largely speculative. Kop#171 sits in a sequence reconstructed primarily through hoard evidence rather than documentary record.
