Reverse description As a true bracteate, this coin is struck on a single thin flan from one die only, producing an incuse mirror image on the reverse of the obverse design. The reverse therefore shows the negative impression of the enthroned ducal figure and surrounding beaded border, with the characteristic thin silver fabric of the bracteate flan visible. The surface exhibits the natural irregularities and slight flan cracks typical of hammered single-sided bracteate coinage of medieval Poland.
