Obverse description Bracteate type struck on a thin, irregularly shaped flan. Central device depicts the arms of the city of Erfurt: a cartouche-style shield bearing a six-spoked wheel, rendered in Gothic style. The shield is surmounted by a plain horizontal bar forming the top of the frame. Above the shield, the Gothic inscription +E+ appears in the field, serving as an abbreviated legend identifying the issuing city. The overall design is characteristic of late medieval German municipal bracteate coinage.

Reverse description Blank, as is typical of bracteate coinage, where the design of the obverse appears as an incuse mirror impression on the reverse due to the single-die hammered striking technique on a thin silver flan.
