| Popis líce | Central field features a stylized frontal bust or architectural motif enclosed within a beaded inner circle, flanked by two vertical column-like elements and small pellets at either side. The overall design is rendered in a primitive Romanesque style characteristic of early Bohemian coinage. A continuous legend in debased Latin letterforms runs around the periphery outside the beaded circle. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, as typical of hammered medieval deniers of this period. |

Boleslaus II secured a bishopric for Prague in 973, bringing Bohemia into the Latin ecclesiastical orbit and giving the duchy a legitimizing institutional framework that directly influenced coin production. His deniers are among the earliest datable Bohemian silver issues, minted at a moment when the Přemyslid rulers were actively negotiating their position between the Ottonian empire and the expanding reach of Rome.
