Obverse description Central vertical line flanked on each side by a cross pattée, forming a symmetrical horizontal composition across the field. Crescent moons appear above and below the central line, oriented with their openings facing inward toward the design. Small pellets or stars are interspersed within the field, contributing to the decorative register typical of anonymous Hungarian medieval deniers. The overall design is executed in low relief on a crudely struck, irregular flan characteristic of hammered coinage of the period.
