The cross arms are plain and bold, consistent with the denier tradition of the region. The lettering reads DE LV ON SE, representing a fragmented rendering of the mint or territorial attribution. The outer rim is defined by a toothed or rope-like border, in keeping with hammered coinage practice of the period. |
