| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of the Archbishop enthroned in majesty, vested in pontifical robes and wearing a mitre, his right hand raised in benediction and his left hand holding a crozier. Small annulets appear in the fields to either side of the figure. The rendering is in the schematic Romanesque style typical of 12th-century ecclesiastical coinage, with bold, stylized drapery folds indicated by incised lines. |
