| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a bold cross extending toward the flan edges, dividing the field into four quarters, a composition typical of Ottonian and Salian-period ecclesiastical deniers. Within the quadrants formed by the cross arms, additional decorative or epigraphic elements are visible, though heavily worn and difficult to fully resolve. A partial legend surrounds the design, rendered in crude Romanesque letterforms consistent with Zurich mint production of the late 11th century. The strike is uneven, with portions of the design weakly impressed due to the hand-hammered technique employed. |
