正面描述 Two male figures depicted in combat or wrestling stance, facing one another in the central field, rendered in the crude but vigorous style characteristic of mid-15th century Russian wire money. The figures are shown in full body, grappling with arms extended. A Cyrillic legend surrounds the central device, reading in part ДЕNGA ВЕРЕСКА or similar, identifying the denomination and place of issue. The field is flat and irregular, consistent with the hammered wire-cut flan technique. A beaded border frames the composition.

附加信息

Vereya was a minor appanage principality southwest of Moscow, and Mikhail Andreevich — who ruled it from 1432 until his death in 1486 — was one of the longer-surviving petty princes of the pre-unification period, outlasting most of his contemporaries precisely by knowing when to submit to Muscovite pressure. This denga belongs to a narrow window of his reign before Ivan III had fully consolidated control over the surrounding principalities, when local coin production still carried genuine political meaning rather than merely administrative inertia.

The wrestlers type is among the more unusual iconographic choices for a denga of this period and region. HP II#1410A is a scarce attribution.
