Reverse description The reverse presents a stylized architectural or ecclesiastical motif, depicting what appears to be a patriarchal throne or altar flanked by two tall pillar-like elements surmounted by globes or finials, with a prominent cross above the central structure. The composition is rendered in a highly schematic, hieratic style consistent with Romanesque numismatic art of the late 12th century. A row of pellets or beading forms a decorative base beneath the central device, and a beaded border surrounds the entire design. The scyphate fabric imparts a concave curvature to the reverse field. No reverse legend is present, the imagery alone serving as the type identification.
