| Beschrijving keerzijde | Three-line inscription contained within a reeded inner circle, with the legend arranged horizontally across the field. The text references Emperor Frederick I (Barbarossa), under whose imperial authority the Commune of Brescia struck this denaro. The surrounding area between the inner and outer reeded borders is decorated with a series of radiating triangular points or spurs, forming a distinctive star-like ornamental border common to northern Italian communal issues of this period. The flan is irregular and slightly concave, consistent with hammered medieval fabric. |
