| Opis rewersu | Central device depicts a stylised patriarchal cross with a double crossbar, flanked on either side by a tall candlestick or column, all rising above a Romanesque architectural base rendered as a gabled structure with a row of pellets along its lower register. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a plain outer border following the irregular flan edge. The design is executed in a flat, linear Romanesque style characteristic of northern Italian ecclesiastical coinage of the late 12th century. No legend appears on this side. The patriarchal cross motif serves as the principal emblem of the Aquileia patriarchate. |
