The emperor wears a laurel wreath and a paludamentum (military cloak) visible at the left shoulder. The legend encircles the bust along the rim, reading from the lower left, with individual letters clearly spaced. The flan is slightly irregular and shows the characteristic hand-struck texture of Roman hammered coinage. |
