正面描述 Laureate head of Titus facing right, rendered in the naturalistic Flavian portrait tradition with closely cropped curled hair beneath the wreath. The truncated bust is bare-headed save for the laurel, with firm, confident die engraving characteristic of the Rome mint under the Flavian dynasty. The encircling legend in Latin capitals reads IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M, distributed around the full periphery of the slightly irregular flan. The portraiture captures the emperor's characteristic physiognomy with compact facial features and a well-modelled neck truncation.

背面描述 An elephant advancing left, depicted in full profile with raised trunk, naturalistically rendered musculature, and standing upon a ground line, occupying the central field of the flan. The animal is unadorned and unarmoured, a type associated with Flavian triumphal iconography and the ceremonial use of elephants in imperial processions and apotheosis imagery. The bold encircling legend in Latin capitals reads TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P, recording Titus's ninth tribunician power, fifteenth imperatorial acclamation, eighth consulship, and the title of Pater Patriae. The reverse die engraving is confident and well-struck, consistent with Rome mint production of AD 80.
