| Obverse description | Laureate head of Titus facing right, rendered in the naturalistic Flavian portrait tradition with closely cropped curled hair beneath the wreath. The truncated bust is bare-headed save for the laurel, with firm, confident die engraving characteristic of the Rome mint under the Flavian dynasty. The encircling legend in Latin capitals reads IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M, distributed around the full periphery of the slightly irregular flan. The portraiture captures the emperor's characteristic physiognomy with compact facial features and a well-modelled neck truncation. |
