This obverse was struck from a die reproducing a Republican prototype, as part of Trajan's celebrated restitution coinage series. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Diana, depicted as huntress goddess, standing and driving a biga (two-horse chariot) at full gallop to the right, her drapery billowing behind her and her arm extended forward holding the reins. Stars are visible in the field above the horses, evoking the divine nocturnal context of the goddess. The wheel of the chariot is prominently rendered in the lower field, and the name FAVSTVS appears in the exergue, identifying the original Republican issuer Faustus Cornelius Sulla. The reverse legend curves around the upper and lateral fields, attributing the restitution to Trajan. |
