| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Mark Antony facing right, rendered in bold, slightly stylized relief characteristic of late Republican military coinage. The portrait displays the triumvir's strong, mature facial features with short, curly hair. The encircling legend ANTONIVS•AVGVR•COS•DES•ITER•ET•TERT runs around the periphery, identifying him as augur and consul designate for the second and third time. The flan is irregular, as is typical of coins struck at a moving military mint during this period. |
