Reverse description Central device depicts a cista mystica — a wicker basket sacred to Dionysus — flanked on either side by a serpent, all rendered in detailed relief. Above the cista, a radiate or turreted crown appears atop the basket, and a caduceus is visible to the left. The surrounding legend IMP•TERTIO•III•VIR•R•P•C proclaims Antony as imperator for the third time and triumvir for the reconstitution of the republic. The reverse is enclosed within a border of beads, and the overall composition emphasizes Antony's dual claim to Dionysiac religious authority and supreme military command.
