Reverse description Three-line Latin inscription CAESAREA and regnal year numeral R XXXII (year 32 of Juba II's reign) enclosed within a coiled serpent forming a circular border, itself surrounded by a wreath of laurel or oak branches. The serpent's head is visible at the lower portion of the coil. The overall composition is characteristic of the Mauretanian royal coinage and reflects both Hellenistic and African iconographic traditions.
