| Reverse description | A large oak wreath dominates the reverse field, encircling a central roundel within which the two-line Latin inscription CAES / AREA is inscribed, referencing the royal capital Caesarea. At the base of the wreath, two crossed cornucopiae or curved symbols are visible, typical reverse decorative devices on Mauretanian royal coinage. The wreath is rendered in fine detail with individually delineated leaves and berries, reflecting the high-quality die engraving characteristic of the Caesarean mint under Juba II. |
