The architectural frame consists of two columns supporting an entablature, with a wreath displayed in the pediment above, evoking the Capitoline Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus. The deity is rendered in the heroic seated convention standard to Roman imperial coinage of the period. The reverse legend encircles the composition in bold Latin capitals, referencing Jupiter's supreme Capitoline cult title.
