Beschrijving voorzijde Draped bust of Vesta facing right, wearing a stephane and veil, her hair arranged in formal Classical style beneath the drapery. A lighted torch is depicted upright in the field before the bust, serving as a sacred attribute of the goddess. The portrait is rendered in fine hammered relief characteristic of the Julio-Claudian and Year of the Four Emperors coinage. The encircling legend runs along the periphery of the flan in incuse Latin capitals. The overall style reflects the transitional workshop production of AD 68–69.

Beschrijving keerzijde Jupiter enthroned left within a distyle temple, his right hand extending a thunderbolt and his left hand grasping a long sceptre. The architectural frame consists of two columns supporting an entablature, with a wreath displayed in the pediment above, evoking the Capitoline Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus. The deity is rendered in the heroic seated convention standard to Roman imperial coinage of the period. The reverse legend encircles the composition in bold Latin capitals, referencing Jupiter's supreme Capitoline cult title. The design reflects the political and religious programme of the civil war coinage struck in the names of Galba, Otho, or Vitellius.
