| Obverse description | Stylised laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Celtic La Tène artistic tradition with boldly engraved, schematic hair locks arranged in raised, parallel ridges. The effigy is confined within a beaded border. A blundered, pseudo-legend — derived from but no longer legible as a Roman prototype — appears behind the head in the left field. The facial features are abstracted, with a prominent nose and strongly defined jaw characteristic of the Hungarian-group Celtic imitative coinage. |
