| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed, draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the refined classical style characteristic of his reign. The emperor's hair is depicted in short, neatly arranged curls pressed close to the skull, with a slight fringe over the forehead, consistent with Hadrianic portraiture. The bust is truncated at the shoulder, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The encircling legend HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS runs from lower left to upper right around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits a strong naturalistic modelling of the facial features, including a prominent brow, straight nose, and short beard typical of Hadrian's mature portrait type. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The goddess Pietas is depicted seated left on a throne or chair of state, her figure draped in flowing robes. She extends her right hand forward in a gesture of offering or supplication, while her left hand holds a vertical sceptre or transverse staff resting against her shoulder. A small figure or altar may be present before her, consistent with standard Pietas reverse types for this issue. The legend PIETATI AVG is distributed in the field to the left and right of the figure, while COS III P P appears in the exergue. The reverse composition reflects the Hadrianic imperial virtue programme, emphasising piety as a cornerstone of his reign. |
