The effigy is rendered in the early imperial portrait style characteristic of Hadrian's first emission coinage of AD 117. The encircling obverse legend is incuse in Roman capitals, running clockwise around the bust within the coin's field. |

A cornucopia is placed beneath the throne. The reverse legend, arranged around the design in Roman capitals, identifies Hadrian's titles and the deity depicted, reflecting the dynastic and religious messaging of this early Hadrianic issue. |
