Obverse description Laureate bust of Hadrian facing right, with bare chest and traces of drapery on the far shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the early imperial portrait style characteristic of Hadrian's first emission coinage of AD 117. The encircling obverse legend is incuse in Roman capitals, running clockwise around the bust within the coin's field.

Reverse description Concordia, personification of Harmony, seated left on a throne, extending a patera in her right hand and resting her left arm upon a small standing figure of Spes (Hope). A cornucopia is placed beneath the throne. The reverse legend, arranged around the design in Roman capitals, identifies Hadrian's titles and the deity depicted, reflecting the dynastic and religious messaging of this early Hadrianic issue.
