| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, with the head shown in three-quarter view from the front, displaying finely rendered curly hair and a short beard characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The imperial effigy is rendered in high relief with detailed modelling of the paludamentum and cuirass visible at the truncation. The circumferential legend in Latin capitals encircles the bust, reading IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG. The flan exhibits the characteristic irregular roundness of hand-struck Roman silver coinage of the early second century AD. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Victory is depicted in full flight, her winged figure advancing to the right with drapery billowing dynamically behind her. She holds aloft a military trophy with both hands, the trophy comprising captured arms and armour arranged upon a post. The reverse legend P M TR P COS III is distributed around the field in Latin capitals, referencing Hadrian's priestly, tribunician, and consular titles. The design is enclosed within an inner bead border, and the overall composition reflects the accomplished die-cutting of the Rome mint workshops during the early Hadrianic period. |
