The design is enclosed within a plain inner field bounded by a beaded border, the whole struck on a broad, slightly irregular flan characteristic of military mint production. |

The composition is enclosed within a beaded border, with the overall style reflecting the vigorous die-cutting typical of Pompeian military mint issues of the late Republic. |
