Descrizione del dritto	Diademed and draped bust of Queen Cleopatra Selene facing left, her hair elaborately arranged and bound with a diadem, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition. The effigy is portrayed with fine detail in the drapery at the shoulder. The Greek legend BACIΛICCA (meaning 'Queen') arcs around the field, asserting her royal title. The flan is irregular and slightly porous, consistent with hand-struck silver coinage of the period.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Cleopatra Selene II — daughter of Cleopatra VII and Mark Antony, paraded through Rome in Octavian's triumph of 29 BC — eventually became queen of Mauretania through her marriage to Juba II, a Numidian prince raised in Rome who was installed by Augustus as a client king. Her coinage as queen is exceptionally rare; most surviving Mauretanian silver of this period is attributed to Juba alone or to their son Ptolemy.
