The overall die-work reflects the official Claudian style established at the Rome mint in the early years of his reign. |

The reverse legend PACI AVGVSTAE is distributed across the field, proclaiming peace as a divine gift of the new emperor. The composition is dynamic and charged with early Claudian political messaging, associating the emperor's accession with the restoration of civic and cosmic order. |
