Beschrijving voorzijde Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the classicising Hellenistic portrait style characteristic of Augustan coinage. The facial features are finely modelled, with short, layered hair falling across the forehead in the manner associated with the Prima Porta portrait type. The circumferential legend runs along the outer border of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular striking. No diadem or laurel wreath is present, emphasising the republican sensibilities projected by the princeps.

Opschrift voorzijde AVGVSTVS TR POT VII
(Translation: Augustus Tribunicia Potestate Septima. Augustus, holder of tribunician power for the seventh time.)
Beschrijving keerzijde A rectangular cippus (boundary stone or monumental tablet) inscribed with a multi-line dedicatory text, centrally placed within the field and depicted in low relief. The cippus rests on a low base and fills the majority of the reverse field. The inscription records the dedication made by the Senate and Roman people to Augustus in recognition of his expenditure on the restoration of roads. The moneyer's name and title appear in the outer legend encircling the design, identifying Lucius Vinicius as triumvir monetalis responsible for the issue.
