The left figure holds a poppy and the right figure holds a lily, emblematic of the sanctuary at Nemi. The reverse is anepigraphic and enclosed by a beaded border, the entire composition serving as a rare and iconographically significant depiction of the archaic cult idol at the shrine of Diana Nemorensis. |
