| Obverse description | Pseudo-Arabic legend arranged in three horizontal registers across the field, imitating the Juchid (Golden Horde) dang inscription, loosely derived from the title al-sultan al-adil. The uppermost register displays stylized pseudo-Arabic strokes above a horizontal dividing line; the central register bears the main body of the degenerate Arabic-style lettering, accompanied by a pellet ornament to the left; the lower register contains additional pseudo-Arabic characters flanked by pellets at each side. A row of pellets is arranged along the lower portion of the field as a decorative element. The entire design is a deliberate imitation of Juchid coinage, adapted for local circulation in the Principality of Kyiv under Vladimir Olgerdovich. |
