| Mô tả mặt trước | Irregular oval billon ingot of cast form, the entire obverse field densely covered with multiple stamped impressions applied post-casting. The field bears a column of large Kanji characters reading 宝 (Hō, meaning 'treasure') repeated vertically along the right side, flanked on the left margin by a continuous vertical band of smaller stamped Kanji legends. Two circular Daikoku hall stamps are impressed into the field: one larger stamp in the upper-centre area and a smaller secondary stamp below it, each bearing Kanji within a raised circular border. Additional scattered official certification stamps appear across the surface, characteristic of the Edo Ginza assay and authentication practice for Hōei-period chōgin silver currency. |

The field is largely unadorned, with natural flow lines and minor surface irregularities intrinsic to the hand-cast production method employed at the Edo Ginza. A single faint small circular stamp impression is visible near the centre of the field, consistent with a quality or assay mark applied by mint officials. The overall surface shows natural toning and patination consistent with the billon alloy composition of .320 fine silver. |
