Obverse description The upper field features allegorical figures of Nereids and putti in high relief, bearing a caduceus and a bunch of grapes, symbolizing commerce and abundance. At center, an octagonal cartouche — reproducing the original 1705 jeton of the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce — depicts the stern of a ship with a compass rose and carries the motto QUO NON HAC DUCE, with the date 1705 in the exergue. The circular legend CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE BORDEAUX runs along the periphery, flanked by laurel branches at lower left and right.

Reverse description A finely engraved panoramic view of the port of Bordeaux fills the field, showing the grand neoclassical facade of the Bourse (exchange building) at left, the quayside promenade with lampposts receding in perspective to the center, and a busy harbor with sailing ships and steamships at right. The date 1906 appears at the top of the field, the engraver's signature J. JOINDY is inscribed at lower left within the scene, and a rocaille cartouche in the lower exergue contains the Latin legend XXI VIRI BURDIGALENSES COMMERCIIS REGENDIS.
