Chalkous - Tigranes II Nike

Beschrijving voorzijde	Draped bust of Tigranes II facing right, wearing the distinctive Armenian tiara adorned with a star and eagle emblem, the tiara featuring a stepped crown characteristic of the Artaxiad dynasty. The king's facial features are rendered in Hellenistic style with strong, idealized profile. A monogram or control mark appears in the left field. The flan is irregular and slightly porous, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the period.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Nike advancing left in flowing drapery, her wings spread behind her, holding a palm branch in her left hand and extending her right arm forward. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition, conveying motion and victory. The Greek royal legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ TIΓPANOY (of King Tigranes) is inscribed in two vertical columns flanking the central figure, reading downward on either side.
