Obverse description Macedonian helmet facing right, depicted in profile with cheek guards and a prominent crest adorned with a flowing serpent or plume extending to the left. The surface of the helmet is rendered with visible relief detail, characteristic of Hellenistic die-cutting conventions. The type draws on Macedonian military iconography common to successor kingdom coinage of the period. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse.

Reverse description Eight-pointed star with elongated rays radiating from a central boss, occupying the centre of the field. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣ ΣΑΡ (abbreviation for ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΑΡΙΑΚΟΥ, 'of King Sariakes') is distributed around the star, with ΒΑΣ to the upper left and ΣΑΡ to the upper right. The star motif is a dynastic symbol frequently employed on Skythian royal bronze coinage of the Hellenistic period. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hammered bronzes of this era.
