| 表面の説明 | Bearded head of Dionysos facing right, wearing an ivy wreath, rendered in a robust archaic-influenced style characteristic of Thracian coinage of the mid-fourth century BC. The hair falls in thick, loosely arranged locks, and the features display a mature, slightly idealized treatment. The field is plain with no visible inscription. |

Cetriporis ruled a fractured Odrysian kingdom — by the mid-fourth century the realm had been divided among three sons of Cotys I following that king's assassination in 360 BC. Cetriporis held the western portion, and almost immediately found himself negotiating an alliance with Athens and the Illyrian Grabus against the encroaching power of Philip II of Macedon. That coalition collapsed quickly, and Philip neutralized all three Odrysian rulers within a few years.
The brevity of independent Cetriporian coinage reflects his short political window before Macedonian dominance effectively ended autonomous minting in the region.
