| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a bold, dynamic equestrian scene depicting Magnentius, draped and cuirassed, galloping right on horseback and driving a spear downward with his right hand into a barbarian enemy kneeling beneath the horse's hooves, arms outstretched in submission. The emperor carries a shield on his left arm, while below the horse lie a discarded shield and a broken spear, emblems of the vanquished foe. The reverse legend GLORIA ROMANORVM encircles the composition, proclaiming the glory of Rome. A palm branch follows the mintmark in the exergue, identifying the emission of the first officina at the Ambianum mint. |
