| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Mahmud II, rendered in ornate Ottoman script with characteristic sweeping loops and vertical shafts. The tughra is surrounded by a decorative wreath of interlacing floral vines and blossoms, executed in high relief against a smooth burnished field. The overall design reflects the refined aesthetic of early nineteenth-century Ottoman milled coinage, with the vegetal border framing the imperial monogram in an elegant cartouche-like composition. |

| Reverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged horizontally, reading the mint and regnal year formula. At the top of the inscription appears the regnal year number (such as ٣٠ for year 30 of the reign), followed by the mint formula 'ضرب في قسطنطينية' (struck in Constantinople), and at the base the accession year ١٢٢٣ (AH 1223, the year of Mahmud II's accession).
