Obverse description Stylized male head facing right, rendered in the schematic Belgic Celtic artistic tradition with exaggerated facial features. The visage displays large, prominent eyes, a broad nose, and flowing hair indicated by deeply incised curvilinear lines radiating from the crown. The neck and lower facial area show characteristic Celtic decorative treatment with swirling relief motifs. The Greek legend AΘIIDIACΙ appears partially around the periphery of the flan, associating the issue with the Athediac authority.
