Bronze with lion

This bronze was struck in the decades bracketing Caesar's conquest, a period when Gaulish tribal minting did not stop abruptly but wound down gradually as Roman monetary authority tightened its grip on the region.

DT 2473 is catalogued within a group of late Carnute bronzes showing considerable die-link variation, suggesting small-batch production across multiple episodes rather than a single organized issue.
