The Aulerci Eburovices occupied territory centered around modern Évreux in Normandy, one of several Belgic-influenced Gaulish tribes whose bronze coinage proliferated sharply in the decade straddling Caesar's campaigns. This particular issue falls squarely within the Gallic War period, when tribal minting activity intensified — partly from economic pressure, partly from the logistical demands of fielding warriors and provisioning resistance.
DT 2457 is well-documented within the Delestrée-Tache corpus, which remains the authoritative reference for northern Gaulish bronzes.
