| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the royal arms of France — a shield semé of fleurs-de-lis — surmounted by a crown, the entire composition set within a trilobe formed by three rotated crowns arranged centrifugally around the shield. The design is executed in the late Gothic style characteristic of the reign of Louis XII. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the central device, separated by a beaded inner border. |

The entire central motif is enclosed within a quatrefoil frame, itself set within a beaded inner circle. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the quatrefoil, reading the devotional phrase commonly found on late medieval French billon coinage. |
