| Description du revers | Trajan seated left on a raised tribunal or platform, depicted in military attire, extending his right hand toward a group of foreign client kings or princes standing to the left in supplication, who receive the assignment of their kingdoms. A standing armed attendant or soldier appears behind the emperor. The scene commemorates Trajan's reorganization of eastern client kingdoms during the Parthian campaign. The legend REGNA ADSIGNATA is disposed in the field to left and right of the central figural composition, with no exergual inscription. |
